Cut Out Animation

For our cut out animation we had to cut out random character from magazine or newspaper after the we had to come up with a story with the cut out after coming up with a story then we had to use istopmotion to animate it.

My Animation

Animation Evaluation.

For this project I had 2 to 3 weeks to complete and we had to make an animation character similar to the ‘morph’ character for our last project. We had to work in pairs or groups of threes and in my groups I had Imran, Tamara and myself. First of all we had to create our own character also name them and give them a super power.

After that we had to write our storyboard. At first we came up with a rap battle between Imran character called ‘OG LOG’ and my character call ‘PAKNASH’ but we were having trouble with coming up with a story for Tamara character called ‘TAMBO’ at first but then we had to change the name to ‘DJ TAMBO’ because of the story we came up with for ‘DJ TAMBO’. The character was playing a DJ during the battle. After drawing and writing the storyboard we had to make the characters with clay. The thing we learned when we were making the characters is that they all had to be the same size because if its not the same size it wouldn’t fit into the frame.

Things we could have improved was the timing of the animation because our video only lasted 40 seconds and I things it wasn’t enough but this was because we took too much time to plan our animation and I thing this is something we will definitely have to improve for our next project. And I also think the sound wasn’t synchronize to the video this is something we will have to work on for our next project. Our best strength was working, as a group there wasn’t a lot of arguing which was good.
